Very odd. The system check runs OK, but when I depress the clutch the start button doesn't turn red. Electrical systems all work.

I've tried both keys and both tags.

Battery all ok? Hooked up to a trickle charger? You could reset the engine ECU by disconnecting the battery if you dare....

Let's wait for rick!

I've hooked up the Aston trickle charger just in case, but as you say, let's hope ever-generous Rick can help.

It started fine this morning. Very odd.

firstly any warnings etc, A common problem is if you have floor mats and it is been pushed forward not allowing the clutch pedal to go right down to the floor,

I wonder if there is a switch on the clutch to detect when it is depressed? Give a it a few stomps and shove?

It does feel like something simple and electrical like that. I'll give that a try.

There is you can hear it when you dip the clutch.

Not sure where it is, or if this is the only one helping control matters, but there def is one.

Seem likely to be that, given that everything else is normal. I had a Brie flash of red a couple of times, but generally it just won't go red.

Turned out to be the clutch switch - broken wire making occasional contact.

I've noticed that sometimes if I have something plugged in (e.g. my ipod or a phone charger), then the 'start' button doesn't light up and the car won't start.

Unplugging the ipod and going through the start process seems to sort it (ipod connectivity was plumbed in from new in the arm rest cavity, so not a dodgy after-market issue).

Will get it checked at next service, but I just mention it in case anyone has same problem - it may be worth unplugging ipods etc and giving it another go.
