B &O i pod problems

When I rotate the right hand control to scroll thru 'artists' or 'albums' It used to scroll all the way thru,(albeit taking a while)now it scrolls thru a few names and then freezes up and wont move.
Even if I move on from the i pod and then back to the B&O it does not free it up.
Any of you Techies out there able to assist?
