Top ten recent colours.
1 Black with red flecks (whatever that's called)
2 Lightning Silver
3 Bergwerk/Onyx Black
4 Magma Red
5 Quantum Silver
6 Mariana Blue
7 Mako Blue (great name though)
8 Hammerhead Silver
...and I've run out.

Slightly O/T, but I also like the Bergwerk black on my N400, obviously, but to be honest I have looked at it parked side by side with an Onyx black Vantage and can't tell the difference.
I'm beginning to think it might just be a marketing name?

I can't be the only one LOVING the Pentland Green. With clear rear lenses?

When seeking thoughts on colour Mako Blue was definitely an early contender. The pictures that I have seen look really great for the V12V. However I haven't seen it in the flesh and was persuaded by the salesman at the dealer not to consider it. She had just been on her latest factory tour and saw one and was not wowed by it at all. Generally she is very straight over colours. If you want to maintain the greatest chance of finding an early buyer come trade in time she will turn to trusty silvers, blacks and dark blues but she is open about the appeal of alternative colours and would never seek to influence a personal choice - at the end of the day we are all buying a car that should, first and foremost, represent what we want as individuals and not by what some future purchaser wants. Go buy a porsche if that is part of the consideration. However she really didn't feel that Mako Blue did anything for the car and given that I had never seen one I dropped the colour from my shortlist. I still haven't seen the colour on a car.
When I specced my V12 Vantage about 1 year ago I went to Gaydon and we discussed Mako Blue as one of the factory demonstrators was this color. They said at the time that I should not spec it as it was still on an "experimental" stage so they could not guarantee how it would work our once entering production. Went for Hammerhead as a result. At least Mako Blue is rare. Have seen a Rapide in that color.
I believe this is the colour of the DBS that stood in the Stratstone Wilmslow showroom back in June when I viewed my V8V. I thought it was absolutely stunning and although I am not generally a fan of red interiors I think in this particular case (Lords or Chancellor ?)the two looked great together.

When I collected my Lightning Silver V8 there was either a Rapide or DBS in Mako in the showroom which looked very similar to LS. Dependant upon the light, the LS car does actually turn a very pale pearlescent blue shade - almost Mako!

Thanks for all the replies chaps and for piccies.Graham
Graham - is that a picture of your LS or the Mako?
Sounds to me like LS is a silver car that looks bluey in certain lighting and Mako is a light blue car that looks silvery in certain lighting?
