the problem with outdoor covers is that they move around in the wind and scatch you car.....the car needs to be 100% clean when using the cover

Bugger.

The indoor cover I had for my Gallaro was almost Lycra-esque, so very snug.
Is there such a cover for the Vantage? Would fitting this and then the outdoor cover get around the scratching problem??

It might, but it'll cause you other problems (moisture, breathing etc).

You can get an outdoor cover from any Aston dealer. Circa 200GBP I think.

Couple of choices

1) Leave the car uncovered. They cope. You'll just need to clean it regularly (or, God forbid, drive around with it dirty often! My preference - black cars are a nightmare to keep clean smile).

2) Use a cover then get it detailed every so often to get rid of the scratches (they're never that deep, as long as you don't have grit etc on the bodywork - but then the same thing applies with indoor covers on that front).

I bought an outdoor cover when I bought the car, as the Aston rarely gets garage space at the moment, but have hardly used it.

Ive had a Specialised one since I got the car....

www.carcoversuk.com

they are really the market leaders in these things, and will give discount to most car club members..

fits like a glove, no flapping at all, breatheable 3 layer material, wouldnt have anything else myself

have had them for all my cars in the last 10 years (maybe I ought to get a house with more garages or have less cars one day LOL )

..oh when you come to sell, they hold value better than the cars themselves...usually change hands with TVR/Lotus club members at >60% of new list wink

just make sure you wash it before you put it to bed.
