There is a Red V12 Vanatage up for £89k on the forecourt of Aston Martin Cambridge, seems a good price......

yes, it is, been up there for months, and discussed a few times

its ex demo, and been in the hands many magazine testers apparently

and the highest mileage for sale...and not in a popular colour

so £10K cheaper than low milers seems about right

maybe offer them £10K less and they might be up for a deal....

I guessed there might be story behind the price.....

I was next door getting my 997 Turbo serviced, unfortunately I don't fit comfortably in the Vantage or the DBS (6'6"), otherwise I might be tempted?

The V12 Vantage has more headroom than the DBS/DB9 due to the roof curbing slighly earlier in the DBS/DB9 coupe. I'm 6'3 and fit comfortably in my V12 Vantage - and much better than in my previous DB9. I also drive a 997tt and I actually have more legroom in the Aston than in the Porsche.

It is obviously a V12V but the wesite advertises it as a 4.7 Vantage

with regards to height, i was going to mention mr lorenzen having no troubles at all with his.

Even i have very little head room in alot of cars i detail. Im only 6ft but my body is longer than my legs if that makes sense and my head is often touching the roof. You should see me in a F40! I Find vantages to be very roomy though.

Yup, its an ex-press car with high'ish mileage AND the spec is a little unusual (Magma Red is a love it or loate it colour, leather seats and alacantra steering wheel combo is slighly odd imho, and only the standard 160W sound system). Although I love Magma red there is just something about this car's spec that doesnt stack up. Red stitching, black calipers with Magma just all lacks wow factor to me. All in all those things add up to a low resale price.

Whilst I personally wouldnt buy the car in this spec I would still consider it however if the price was right. If you could get the spec items retro-fitted and still get it cheap then its got to be worth considering. However at the end of the day you cant iridicate the press car history so it will always be worth less even in the right spec, but if you pay less in the first place then you wont have lost anything.

If you can live with the strange spec as is, then this looks like it is the cheapest V12V out there right now.

As bogie suggests above they are open to a further £10k haggling, which I too would suspect they might be, then at £80k it is V8 money so its got to be worth a good hard look.

As for the height issue... Im only 6'0" but there is tons of headroom and legroom in my V8 - feels far more than there was in my 997 anyway. make sure you have the seat fully adjusted downwards - it is a more sporty seating position that way anyway.

I have recently sold my V8 Vantage but i'm 6'5". Have you tried the full adjustment of the seat as I had absolutely no problem in mine.
