Looking to buy my first DB9 this week.

Does anyone have experience of Sam Hall Specialist Cars.

Car I am looking at is http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1707124.htm

He has advised it needs a cigerette socket as it didnt have one as standard, and advised a bluetooth car kit instead of the GSM kit. Apart from that all good to go....

Any advice very welcome

What warranty are they offering, it will cost £1400 for an AM one - the only one I would entertain

You are saying that you are going to smoke cigarettes in this vehicle?

I was thinking it's more of a cigar car biggrin

The socket is so I can charge my phone.

It has AM warranty till Feb 2011. I'd look to renew this as well if that was possible.

Looks like a reasonable buy to me......just to be on the safe side I suggest you ring the dealer with whom all the services have been done to check on the car and if poss the previous owner.......apart from that "get it bought" smile

Thats only an issue if your a looker not a driver - most AM owners talk about the cars and garage them nicely never daring to actually use them.

I dont think they are so fragile they cant take 9k a year, which is not a lot - I have seen some garage queens on 1k a year with so many lack of use issues (dry wishbone bushes for one) thats its debatable if you should buy the car to use it or to talk about having it (as so many do)

Good response. The more you drive the less its worth .

But the fact of the matter is

Mileage = Higher Depreciation!

And this has been confirmed by aston martin dealers when coming to a px a car for a newer aston.

I actually started looking at the Volante he has but because I am keeping my existing convertible decided that I would rather have the coupe in this instance. They are also less emotional whjen it comes to seasonal pricing, and I am buying at the wrong time to buy a Volante.

The early Volante tend to suffer from a little scuttle shake the later ones are stiffer.......probably not the best time to buy a Volante at the start of the summer but prices on DB9 seem to be soft. Good luck and good hunting

Dont agree Mike I think DB9 prices are at the top of the game right now, hence its a good time to sell and rebuy after the cuts ......

Also scuttleshake is just a reason to seek out the smoother roads smile
