Looks so good but had someone cleaned it with a brillo pad and a bucket of sand previously?
Give Jay a shout, all depends on what needs doing. Was very much worth it!As for the condition, it is amazing how it comes out of the factory but until you put it under lights, you cant really see them.

I remember when I was waiting to buy my car and wandering around on a Saturday morning....watching a guy walk around the entire stock outside with the same old wash leather giving every car a good going over ! ...inside, an attempt at applying some autoglym polish was going on, probably to spruce a car up before a collection ...the same cloths were used on all cars, in between being on the floor !
...one would think that in a premium car dealership, the people that clean the cars could at least be on more than minium wage and trained on how to clean/prepare cars better than the local "hand car wash" attendants, but no, this was not the case it seems
when I arranged to pick mine up, I was early, they said i could take it there and then without it "being polished" ...I did, and took it straight down to the detailer dude to get it done properly and all the swirls taken out etc
the detailing industry will be in shock if manufacturers/dealers actually started to prep and finish cars to a high standard when you bought them or took them in for a service.....
Rob the motor looks stunning, was talking to my detailer only the other day about the finish Jay has achieved and he
bigged your man up big time.Must agree with all of Bogies comments as the wife and I have witnessed first hand the
dirty cloth effort of so called cleaners,we have adopted a do not clean my car policy with all dealerships whether it
be Aston down to the daughters Ford.
By the way Rob the itch I mentioned a week or two back has gone away in the form of lightening silver v12v alias sadly not from the usual source on this occasion.Hope your quest is reaching a joyful conclusion.

I dont think they necessarily come as bad from the production line, its how many times it gets washed by the dealer monkey before you pick it up that counts...the longer its sat around, the more chance it gets more washing/waxing/dusting in the wrong manner
I agree with what your saying but its common for Astons to leave the factory with DA sanding marks, certainly every one I have worked on has had them.Few pics of different Astons with such defects
How was your Le Mans trip Rob??

Wow, very impressive!!!
My car is almost identical to yours (onyx 4.7 coupe with sportpack, silver calipers and n400 lights) and being 1yr old now has acquired quite a few swirls etc.. in the paintwork.
I might just give the guy a call!
