"check tyres" warning light
Discussion
The tyre monitor sensors are a real pain and it looks as if you will need to have them re-calibrated. I just went through that when I changed from winter to summer tyres and the yellow light came on. You probably need to go to AML to have that fixed as independents can't access the set-up. On my Porsche, Tires Direct managed to "loose" the sensor inside the tyre which made a terrible noise every time I started driving. Eventually I had to go to Porsche to have it fixed, so what I saved by dealing with Tyres Direct I spent with Porsche having to exchange the sensor. On all cars these sensors are a pain and I would never spec them again.

I want to get a set of Pirelli Sottozeros for the V12V with rims for the winter. Question is, will the tyre pressure sensors need AM dealer recalibration every time I swap over the tyre sets or does it self-calibrate?
Alternatively, does anyone see a reason why the tyre pressure monitoring system cannot be permanently disabled?
