Read my thread below re my clutch/gearbox woes. And this on a car a year old. Whilst by the time I get it back I will have been without it the best part of a month, this has in no way put me off, I just cant wait to get it back. And yes it is a daily drive.

Maybe my patience comes from having had two Tuscans. biggrin

all part of having a hand built car I guess ....and a few years old

Ive had 2 TVRs and Lotus, the Aston is (touch wood) so far proving the most niggle free of them all wink

Anything that dosent affect it actually working/driving safely is ok, and sometimes the list would add up

owning a British sportscar is often a hobby in itself, with lots of "odd jobs" to do at the weekend fastening bits back on LOL

I think it is less about what actually goes wrong with the cars but how the dealer deals with your complaint/issue. Another think which bothered me with my first Aston db9 was that most of the faults where actually known to AML so despite the fact that these where small niggles I had to be without my car due to some fault which had been discovered long time before and I never understood why Aston would not want to listed to their dealers and learn and prevent instead of repaired all the time. Di, I hope that the dealer or AML is treating you well and measured by the fact that you have not blown a fuse yet (at least on the forum) I take that you are being looked after. Otherwise I would shout very loud because that is the only way that things get changed. I lived a while in Germany and the attitude of car customers and the attention to detail was anal to such an extend that garages and manufacturers actually changed behaviour. I think we still have a way to go in this country on that point.
