Hi all,
This is my latest power oriented upgrade (post AM Power Pack, Cats/Exhaust and ECU remap)

Location
Torque Developments International plc : www.tdi-plc.com
Tel: 0800 107 3250

Work
Replacement of OEM parts with uprated K&N air filters and Reverie spun aluminimium bell chambers.
Dyno run.
Cost: c.£670
(dyno run free)

Results
Excellent!
The upgrade was originally suggested by TDI after a previous dyno run.
Their sophisticated diagnostic equipment had detected a pressure differential in the induction process which they felt would be alleviated by better front end equipment.
Sure enough they were right but it was the increase in performance which surprised me;

Max power was up 6bhp but it was up 12bhp @ 5500rpm with significant gains in associated torque right across the rev range.

Summary
The car undoubtedly felt that bit sharper and quicker after the work.
This is an upgrade that - on paper at least - provides the best power gain per £ of any of the others I've listed.
I reckon this one also helps the AM Power Pack to work with greater efficiency too, so would recommend it even more strongly if you already have that fitted!

before/after power figures are more useful than an absolute reading

Im sure SLINC will post up when hes finished ....one would hope to see +30bhp from the AM kit with addition of cats/backbox/filters etc

Sophisticated enough to be corrected for dynamic pressure rather than just measuring static pressure????

what I cant understand is; this work was done post factory AM upgrade which is an excellent update to have , which has undergone probably hundreds of hours of dyno testing and similation to achieve the results it does. And it is front end driven.

Why then with K&N filters and an induction imbalance recitification make it better?? the other issue is costs in excess of £700 for this work?

Don't mention the costs! SLINC is paying for all the development work! Just like the Geometry changes, SLINC kindly paid for TDI to work out the optimum geo and the rest of us just rock up and get it done cheaply

I guess that's a fairly easy assumption to make, but it is actually incorrect.

All the best, Mark smile

Cheap is the wrong word, but you did my Geo for a very reasonable rate, based on the settings you developed for SLINC wink

Apologies for any confusion, I was refering to your assumption that SLINC paid for our R&D. That didn't happen smile
