I also find them comfortable -- recently did about 2.5 hours each way on a trip and was very happy with the seats. As Murph said, the lumbar adjustments can make a significant difference, and making some small adjustments to the lumbar settings after being in the car for a while can really enhance comfort.
Can relate to the issue, but have eventually found a setting which works for me. Trouble is, whenever it goes in for service it comes back totally different and I have to play with all the controls again. Should have gone for that memory option after all, but it seemed like a waste as only I drive the thing.
Don't know if anyone agress but I think the MY05/06 seats were more naturally comfortable. Loved them on my test drive and was then gutted when my MY07 turned up with the redesigned ones.

I prefer the seats in my '08 N400 vs my previous MY06 car because the seat cushion is wider ... but then I've got a bit of a fat arse at the moment!Don't know if anyone agress but I think the MY05/06 seats were more naturally comfortable. Was advised at the time that the seats had been modelled on our US counterparts, with a liking for pancakes and maple syrup.
Personally, having shed a few pounds since the winter binge season I'm now faced with the prospect of taking some cushions out with me to avoid sliding about when going round corners

You mean you let other people sit in the Captains seat of your AM? ...
It gets worse - it's the missus that uses the other seat every now and then. A bird! Female! Wench! You mean you let other people sit in the Captains seat of your AM? ...
What better way to get home though after a night on the razz. I drive there. getting that benefit. Then get driven home in an Aston.

Prefer to stay sober myself. Drive there, drive back, get the benefit of the Aston, let the missus get drunk and enjoy those benefits later. Think about it!

Hi Guys
Mine is a MY07 with the later seats and also memory. I have to admit to having a very reclined position. I have started raising this now to a point where it feels very very upright. I have tried the lumbars but they dont seem to make much difference. I have the seat in the lowest rear position with a slight raise on the front position.

My car is an '09, so I have the same seats. FWIW, I have the rear of the cushion low, but not all the way down, and I have the front of the cushion higher (relatively) for better thigh support. I have the backrest fairly upright, but not what I consider very upright. I find that the two lumbar adjustments cover a wide range (both in/out and up/down) and make a significant difference.
I have had a few minor issues with the sportseats (both on the MY2010 and MY2006 versions) whereby I have recieved cramp in my upper thighs. This is in context of a say typically 4 hours into a 6 hour run from the NW to the end of Cornwall.
I found relief from changing my typical driving position from "5 minutes to 2 O'clock", to "2 minutes to 3 O'clock". i.e. lowering the end of the seat down. It may be poissible that this could work for the OP as your not putting all the weight of the upper body and upper legs on to your lower lumbar region.
I have not tried the new Lightweight seats on such a long journey yet.
Adjust until comfortable I guess. Failing that, take a break more often and stretch the legs/back.
