1st.. Great news, I found my leather pouch so £95 still in my pocket.

2nd..Not a happy bunny! Collected my car today having had the wheel re-furbed and just noticed this




Expected better from a main dealer. I was 3 days without the car. Now got to argue my case on Monday.

Any thoughts as to what has caused this?

Is this the refurbed wheel, or was another wheel damaged?
Either way, its for them to fix. I would not take a wheel to a dealer for a refurb myself though as its a specialist job and I'm sure they'd outsource it. In which case, you may as well go direct to the wheel company yourself.

Its the wheel which was re-furbed through kerbing. That part is fine. I went to main dealer as I thought I might have better recourse if there was a problem. Famous last words.

I always take mine to Lepsons at Gillingham - not too far for you I think? They have experience of all sorts of wheels including Aston, Bentley, Porsche. Always done a great job for me (and now my neighbour). AMV8 wheels are £100+VAT.

another vote for Lepsons - they did my V8 anthracite wheels 3 years ago

Hi Di, saw your car in the car park there last week when I collected mine from service. Have had my wheels done by them twice and has always been perfect, so I guess you were just unlucky. Looks like careless use of the press when deflating/reinflating the tyre; maybe some grit on there, or they didn't clean the wheel first. Either way the dealer will sort it, it's just the inconvenience.

Regarding Lepsons - what is the procedure?. Do you bring your car there and leave it or do you have to somehow get your wheels to them or is there a collection services. I have tried to check on the web site to no avail.
