I'd say Yes,, but then I might be a little biased as I own one.
But considering you're getting the following upgrades from a standard V12 DB7, I think the extra money is worth it::
Uprated Brakes, racing derived Brembo's with 14" discs and better spec pads.
Vanquish brake booster.
Suspension lowered and stiffened, progressive rather than linear.
Bushes and steering rack repositioned and stiffened.
The above costs £10K to be fitted to a std DB7
Bonnet Vents to aid engine compartment cooling, hopefully extending coil life a little. (43.5K miles so far and no coil failure on mine)
Active Exhaust system, same as fitted to Vanquish.
20% stuffer Chassis
50% greater downforce due to rear spoiler, undertrays and extended wheel liners.
Uprated engine power and torque. (559 nm)
Very comfortable and supportive seating.
Carbon/wood trim.
Alloy control gear, pedals and gearknob.
Short Shift Gear Lever.
Stainless mesh grilles.
special 5-spoke alloys.
No idea how much those upgrades would cost.. but it;s fair to say the current price difference on the 2nd hand market is very reasonable indeed.
Oh, I forgot the final drive ratio, 3:77 std, GT has 4.09
Quickens the pace a little.
I'm guessing there are other features I have missed. but as you can see a standard DB7 it is not. :-)
