Please don't shoot me down re the spelling, I don't think its "curbed" but may be wrong!
I have the same wheels as Josh Bear and when cleaning the car this eve I noticed the pronounced outer rim is polished alloy. (OH usually cleans it). If I bugger them up, apart from having pointy sticks thrust into my nethers for eternity, are they easily re-furbished as standard alloys or should I go to a specialist?
Hasn't happened yet and hope I am not tempting fate.
Cheers

Living in London with very very small Westminster parking bays (much smaller than K&C's bays - guess that says something about the cars in each borough!!) my wheels are also badly kerbed (think it may be "curbed" but will go with the original spelling ). Any advice on refurbs etc much appreciated!
It's "kerbed" in English. "Curbed" in (wrong) American English.
I do it about once eveyr couple of years and it always ruins my week. I am alweays ultra-careful, but sometimes I get it wrong. I piss people off going through Camden and Islington's 6'6" width restrictors at 2mph looking out of the window at the rear wheel, but I don't care.

I bought my AMV8 a year ago and had both front's done at http://www.lepsons.com (£100 per wheel). This is a total refurb, and takes about 3 days.
They have 2 sites, Gillingham in Kent is closest to me. I had my Porsche wheels done there a few years ago and would not go anywhere else.

It's always good to get a personal recommendation from someone else with the same car. They have 2 sites, Gillingham in Kent is closest to me. I had my Porsche wheels done there a few years ago and would not go anywhere else.
My wheels are not kerbed but brake dust has eaten through the finish on the spokes so a refurb is something I'm considering as well.
For the 3 day turnaround did you take the wheels off yourself and put the car up on jacks/axle stands? Are they good at matching the original colour and finish?

Zod - thanks for the clarification on the spelling. As i was lying in bed last night i had an epiphany and realised that "kerbed" was correct....
And thanks for the tips on the wheels.. Lepsons seems to be the way forward...
"kerbed" is not correct. Just like driving on the left side of the road is not correct. And thanks for the tips on the wheels.. Lepsons seems to be the way forward...

First, you take your wheels in (this is a bit cheaper).
Second, you take your car in (this is the £100 per wheel option).
I do the second - it easer. The car is locked up in a garage, so its safe.
WRT the colour, they are very knowledgeable about the colours uswed by Porsche, Bentley, AM etc and the results are great. I've actually dropped my car off today for the front left to be refurbed.
I had the 2 front done when I bought the car a year ago, but recently damaged the front myself in Brighton. Its minor but annoys me every time I wash it because my eye goes straight to it!
I have noticed I am often closed to the kerb than I think, and have to remember to keep my distance!
