Hi Guys

A mate of mine wants to get his lovely Vanquish painted in the matte black colour. Not a fan myself but he loves it so wants to know if there is an official aston colour for this so he can get it painted on?

cheers guys

Rather than paint it why not go for a vinyl wrap, at least then it is fully reversible back to the original colour come resale time,

He's mad - it will destroy the lines of the car, one of the best looking on the market.

Tell your mate...NO! Please do not give him any help whatsoever, or give us his address so we can steal his Vanquish and hide it somewhere safe in Derby.

Hey TVR Newbie, why don't you tell your mate to sign up for Pistonheads himself? Is this the same mate that wants to sell his loaded Cayenne for £79k? I'm sure we can dissuade him from being such a total chav...

p.s. in answer to your mate's original question can he really imagine Aston Martin officially offering the Vanquish in anything so gauche? nono

He doesn't own a Cayenne. He is too busy to sign up hence asked me to look for him.

My apologies, it was someone called tvrt350t who is on the Porsche forum offering one for sale 'for a friend'...

Tell your mate if he really must ruin an Aston tell him to swap the Vanquish for an old DB9 - at least there are plenty of these around so 'rude-boying' one up won't make him look like such a heathen. hehe

If he must do it, then attempt it with a Cygnet.

Why why why do people with more money than sense insist on ruining an object of beauty? Maybe its because they can. You only have to look at the chrome monstrosity. Surely it is possible to make a personal statement without opening yourself up to ridicule.
Sorry, I just don't understand.

If you think that's a matt, then you must be blind (or I am). Looks like a gloss to me.

Ian - what colour paint is your car - does it have an official name?

Ian's car is orange, that's a wrap.

Take a look at this thread about 20 posts down.
