Hi

Im new here and ready to take the plunge into Aston ownership

Just really need some thoughts on the following

I was looking for a late low mileage V8V 4.7 Roadster and want to buy through a main dealer.

Ive been looking and most of the cars ive seen are priced at £82,000 - £87,000 however one dealer (not my local dealer) has offered me an ex stock brand new V8V Roadster with all the extra's I would want for £84,000 and a very competitve finance package - I think the full list price is a shade over £100k

So the question is ... does anyone pay full list for a new V8V? is a new one at what seems to be upto 1 year old money sound like a good deal or am i missing something?

Thanks

Only those wanting them in bright pink with no options and a yellow interior pay full whack on these.

The deal you are being offered (new car for 1yr old money) is similar to what I had 3yrs ago. And I did not regret it one bit. But it WILL depreciate regardless.

If the car is the colour/spec you want, and you understand/accept depreciation, buy it and enjoy it biggrin

You may be able to squeeze the pips further on the deal. If not with more money off, then maybe with some other extras (mudflaps, mugs, cufflinks, umbrellas yadda yadda).

Thanks for the reply

By the sounds of it, it is a fairly "normal" deal. Are the factory supported vehicles always available?

What other "extras" are normally asked for or included if you ask for?

Also are there any specific items i should look out for when collecting the vehicle if I go ahead with the purchase?

Thanks

It's luck of the draw - if they happen to have one in when you call round, job done. They went through a period about 2yrs ago where they had a lot of ex-stock cars. I think the factoy eased up on this though to better tune supply to demand, so suspect it's not really "normal" as such.

You could try a tank of fuel, mats, cover etc. But don't be surprised if you get a limited response.

Do a search on here for what to look for. Desirable options have been discussed many times. As a new car though, you should expect it to be perfect. And anything from 07/08 model years onwards should be free of all the teething niggles that hit earlier cars.
