Vantage dash board squeaks
Discussion
Hi all, just changed my 4.3 for a 4.7, great upgrade. On both cars now they have had lots of difference noises, sat nav, top air vents etc. My local dealer fixed most of them for me on the 4.3 and i hoped that the 4.7 would be free from all of this and be sorted by now. Its actually worse than my old one and its driving me mad, to the point that I wonder if Aston is the make for me.
Maybe I am just expecting to much, does anyone else find the same?

Great to hear, thanks for the reply. I will get it booked in and give it another chance. Hopefully they can sort mine as well.
On a side note my dealer in Buckinghamshire was so helpful when I booked my 4.3 in, when I picked the car up after the work it felt like they had built me a new car!

......There is just a hint of a creek from around the Nav unit -- just enough to hear.
Looking into the potential of moving from a TVR Tuscan Mk3S to V8V, that answers the 'how noisy is the cabin' comparison questions I was going to ask. A barely audible squeak, I have to admit, is obviously somewhat quieter than not being able to hear the missus scream.Mine has done this on and off from new. On mine it's the leather covered "beam" that runs across the front top of the dash. Push it down and the squeaks stop.
It can be temporarily cured with talc between the leather panels.
I'm hoping the latest attempt at a fix (new trim panel) will have cured it properly.
Not a big enough issue for me to be hugely bothered as it doesn't happen all the time (far from it - very specific speeds/rough roads seem to be all that make it happen). And even with it it's far quieter than a TVR interior (for better and worse ) as I now know.
