AMV8 Rear Lights not working ? . . .

Hi all,

i noticed my L/H Rear light and brake light aren't operating the other day. At times part of the LED seems to flicker on and off, but won't fully light up and stay lit?

Do i need a replacement unit or is it water that i can some how dry ?

If so how do i disconnect the light from the car ? - i have seen the 3 bolts holding it on but how do i release the wiring to the lamp ?

I think these are a sealed unit and cannot be fixed only replaced at around £450, I took the oportunity of getting clear lenses fitted when one of mine went

I would bet money it's water ingress causing the fault.

Is it still under warranty?

I think Rick may have posted how to remove them in the past (either here or on the DMS site...).

I concur with Murph. I would contact Rick. They are sealed units and its not an easy job ensuring realignment. Rick changed mine for clear ones and I was astonished the care he took to get everything lined up correctly. Didnt look a simple case of bolt off, bolt on.
