Anybody done this? I am booked in for next Wed and just wondered what to expect, any experiences over and above driving an Aston around the circuit!

It's a brilliant day. One to one tuition on very fun, and challenging, circuits. Delicious food and a real opportunity to put the vehicle through its paces in a safe but enjoyable manner. I hope you enjoy!

I did a porsche day at millbrook a year or so ago. its a superb venue ! the mountain section is better than the bowl as it shows you what a performance, handling car can really do. we got the 911 upto just over 180 on the circuit.

Well what a fab day that was, weather was perfect. 1:1 tuition all day covering many of the circuits there..took you through many aspects of the car...and now like it even more!!

Highlight was going around the bowl at 150+ with no hands....great instructor, knows the car and yes good food too. Think it is essential for all new owners of AM.

been thinking of doing this. Can I ask who did you arrange it through and the cost?

It was done direct with AM, from a letter drop after I got the car, think it was about £1K...

Could I ask you how much high speed track driving you did, compared to low speed manoeuvring / skid pan techniques etc. There is a demo video on the AM website, which suggests there is more emphasis on the latter.

I did one of these with Maserati about 3-4 years ago and whilst it was thoroughly enjoyable I wouldn't have paid £1k for it.

There was three runs of the mile straight (I seem to recall) and several circuits of the high speed bowl. You tackle the alpine route as fast as possible too so it is heavily weighted on speed and dynamics whilst also showing the stability and safety.

It is certainly worth the money paid!

On the day I could do as much as I wanted, no time constraints at all, as many 1 miles as I liked, same everywhere else...great value for /hr
