hiya,
New to this - but thought I'd introduce myself.
Have dreamed of an aston since I was a boy and finally took the plunge two weeks ago. She's a silver 2007/57 coupe and how happy am I! No one can wipe the grin that is permanently stuck to my face. The aston will be my daily ride to work - 12 miles through winding country roads and a few straight bits to really open her up. My only regret is not buying one sooner, although my wife still hasn't forgiven me, I'm sure she'll come around ... eventually.
I would say to anyone considering buying an amv8 - do it and do it now - you won't regret it, to be able to drive calm and sedately or just drop into second or third and hear that V8 roar - I'm in heaven.

I hope to get more involved with anything aston from now on - sorry can't keep banging on about such a fantastic car.

Hiya...
Hi and welcome. Congratulations on the car, you have contracted a disease called Astonitis - no known cure, but kept at bay by fequent drives of the Aston!

OK, I'll be first PICTURES!!!!

here's one of her for now - what's great is it doesn't matter if you've had a horrid day at work, or kids driving you crazy - once you get behind the wheel of your aston - funny how it all just gets washed away.

Had mine for 4 months. Still grinning like a Cheshire cat. Wife still hasn't forgiven me. As you'll now be finding out, it's worth the grief

Congratulations!
I have had mine just over a month now and have not stopped grinning yet.
I use mine as a daily driver and the drive home is the perfect antidote to a stressful day at work. Instead of getting home in a grumpy mood, you feel on top of the world.

yes it is - matched with obsidian black seats - and today, the sun out, wind stirring the leaves into spiralling across the road - you feel like you're in a commercial! - sorry rambling on

smile I joined the club today as well following the collection of my new Onyx black Vantage.

Fuse 22 has been removed and needless to say I haven't needed to use the Premium audio system yet biggrin

Hopefully the weather will be okay tomorrow so I can get a few miles in it before heading off on a business trip for 4 weeks frown

How do these cars take to being left standing unused for a few weeks?

She looks lovely by the way.

fine ...the battery might get weak after 3-4 weeks though and you will need a jump start ...or get a battery conditioner

..just dont leave the brakes on hard after a run in the wet, they can stick on if left for a few weeks too long
