GB stickers - Paint damage?
Discussion
Has anyone had any issues with GB stickers marking the paint when removed? How is this avoided?
Planning a jaunt on the continent in a V8 Vantage but the magnetic style GB badges obviously don't attach due to the aluminium bootlid, was told by a friend who had a DB7 to avoid it as their paint seemed to mark up with anything. Was thinking of just sticking it in the rear window instead but I don't think that's legal.

On my Aston I have chrome GB letters (cue gratuitous excuse for picture of DB MkIII) but seriously on my TVR I simply stick one of the small 2" plastic GB plates to the side of the number plate. I have a short number on the Tiv so there is plenty of room so don't know if this would work on your Aston?

instead of using the sticker you can use number plates showing the gb logo these are legal to use in the eu, if travelling outside the eu then a gb sticker even with the plates may be needed,
...easily bought from a number of t'internet sites (standard spec). Ended up replacing original plates upon return back into UK as I reckon that they suit the car better.Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
