Had mine done last year. Noticeable increase in torque and power, but not earth shattering.
Difficult to say if the bangs per bucks is worth it. Compared with other cars, £2K (which is what I paid at service time) is a lot for 20 bhp (although I think its probably slightly more), but its the cheapest way to break the 400 bhp barrier and keep the manufacturers warranty intact.
Can hurt the resale either.

Maybe he does, but then I invalidate my warranty. If the car was out of warranty then a blast up the M1 and along Sir* Brian Clough Way would be in order, but it isn't, so it ain't.'* should have been...
