what does the comfort button do on the V8V?

I always thought it meant earlier gear changes in the auto mode (mine is a sportshift), but I noticed you can switch it on when the car is running in manual. Doesn't seem to make any difference tho, any clues?

The comfort button,slow's the gear change down to try and make it smoother.
To be honest it does really work , if you just lift off a little when changing gear,it is genrally smoother.

If in Manual mode you really dont what the comfort button on.

surely the dealer u got it from should have told u
