DB 2/4 MKIII restoration project anyone!

Thought I cross reference this thread from the classic car section, seems a shame...

A Feltham Aston, rotting away and no response from the Aston forum :-(. Vlp666 - my old man sold his battered car in the early 80's for 500 quid, dark blue, chipped paint but lovely nonetheless- sadly not on the DVLA register now- he didn't have the cash to save it... gutted. Response from this forum is absent... red car is a massive project and most have not got time or funds to deal with this but.. interest from this forum is silent. :-(((
So sad.... warranties, electric seats not moving perfectly, whats the depreciation on my DB9? Thoroughly depressing. This car was one of only 500 odd made... hand built, imperfect but named in Ian Fleming's late 50's Bond book. I can't fix it but some of you may know someone- at least have an opinion...
Obviously a massive project but "Power- Soul- Ignition'?" or whatever when you put your keys in... save it!!!
Deeply depressing response from the Aston forum. Come on , call up some footballers, club in and save something important!
Too poor and too far away to help... but....I'll chip in if you do...X558

I think you said that three times I mentioned it to some of the AMOC chaps, it was last registered in 1990 so it's been off the road for getting on for 20 years. According to a local Aston specialist the owner simply won't sell, so that's that. if that was a property, the local authority could force a sale...shame it doesn't apply to antiques ! if that was a 'normal' car, his neighbours would be very happy to see it removed from his driveway....on the otherhand, I wouldn't mind seeing that out of my window in the morning :-) (unrestored or restored) - what a shame its left to rot !
WTF!!
Is it with all the trolls coming over to the Aston forum and slagging us off?
Quite capable of:-
a) Actually reading the post - clearly states the owner won't sell
b) Recognising a complete and utter moneypit. Don't care that its a Feltham Aston one of only blah blah so many made, a complete moneypit is just that a complete and utter wate of money. Didn't need commenting on thought it was obvious.

Apologies all - I didn't mean to come out as a "Troll" - drunken post, sorry.
Anyway, I knew a rough one of these as a kid and it was petulant response, based on enthusiasm for the marque and car. Hopefully the current owner will at least put it under cover at some time in the future and possibly it may be restored - sure it will cost a fortune but maybe...
Again- regrets for my behaviour.... I still love Astons, and all old British motors.

No problem just came across as a troll. The Aston forums tend to all be about helping each other, giving advice and admiring each others cars, especially new members. Have had few people dropping in annoying a few of us recently - everyone welcome obviously in the right spirit. And if my original reply seemed especially grumpy, I blame the alcohol, or the severe lack of it, on tablets so not allowed any
Still think its a moneypit
