Has anyone done a driver training day with either www.drivertuition.com with Mike Cooper or www.edge-se.com? Alternatively is there anyone else out their that can be recommended? Looking to do something with a friend which is aimed at improving my trackday skills. I know it is a more general question but I thought I would ask my fellow AM owners. Any feedback very welcome.

the Aston PDC is excellent, and not bad value considering its a whole day at Millbrook in one of their cars, one to one, lunch etc - about £1100 I think from memory

Ive only done the 1/2 day, but hope to do a full day in a V12 Vantage sometime this year smile

Hi Bogie
You have found me sitting on both forums :-) As you have guessed I have bought a track day weapon in the shape of an Elise S1 (I owned one of these about 9 years ago). Looking to improve my track day skills.

ahh - for track days specifically , I would get training on the day itself, and do some days with Carlimits for limit training/car control etc

Ive done over 1/2 dozen days with Andy at Carlimits over the years - very good VFM smile

to be fair, any training is mostly good ...driving to me is like Golf ...the more you learn, the better you get, the more you realise how far you have to learn to get near a good amateur, let alone a pro racing driver

Might be worth dropping Julian Smith a line at www.ridedrive.co.uk - great fella who won't give you a duff steer

I've done four or five days with Don Palmer at Bruntingthorpe which I'd thoroughly recommend. No fixed curriculum, nothing to hit, small groups and an excellent lunch place. It's all about car control and grinning. It might cost you a set of tyres unless it's wet. wink

I've also done a day with Carlimits which was good but maybe slightly less suited to the Aston than a Don day. I did a RideDrive day some time ago too which was worthwhile but with a very different emphasis - making progress on the road.

You'd think with all that tuition that I'd be a good driver by now... smile
