chaps

i bought my v8v in july last year and it's now coming up for its 3rd year service. For peace of mind, i have also decided to extend the warranty. The dealer in london is quoting £750+vat for the 3rd year service and as a special offer is willing to waive the "inspection fee" in order to extend the warranty. I was suprised AM would usually charge me this fee when there had been no period when the car was out of warranty.

Is this quote for a service reasonable and is there normally an inspection fee when extending the warranty? (yes i know rick is a legend, i just dont have the time to drive up!)

Thanks for the guidance, ben

all dealers will charge an inspection fee of around £200 however most will waive this charge if your taking out warranty at the same time as a service

Price sounds about right for the service from a franchaise dealer. Warranty should be about 1K.

O/P, Love the nickname! hehe

just wanted to thank everyone for their help.

i know there's a no naming policy but fyi, i was actually approached by a dealer from the bucks area via PH who was not only slightly cheaper than my original quote but more importantly displayed a genuine understanding of customer service! i was impressed!

Needless to say i have booked in with him for service, some warranty niggles and to get the current warranty extended.

Thanks all again - the power of PH!
