also heard that the car will be at Stratstone Amersham on friday and saturday, but also heard viewing is by appointment only,so i imagine if you ring the dealer first to make the appointment

I have just been to the Rapide launch.. well done stratsone (the champagne flowed all night)! But most importantly the car looks fantastic in the flesh, though i can imagine having serious problems parking it in london (it is very very big). Also as a six-footer the space in the back was slightly tight (though very comfortable in a leather soaked type of way) - not sure i would want to do a cross continent trip in there.. teenage children, however, may be fine (as i have no children, yet, i think a dbs might be a better bet!)

Anyway, an excellent evening - sort of makes up for the stratstone service charges!!

I really enjoyed it - plenty of champers floating around!

Thought the Quantam one was stunning but agree it's very tight in the back.

I left at about 8:45 - what was in the raffle just out of interest..??

To be honest i think the numerous glasses of LP i had drank had taken effect by that stage, and not having bought a raffle ticket i wasn't that interested. wink

I think there was a spa day and i think B+O had a couple of items in the raffle too...

I was lucky enough to be there and even luckier to win one of the raffle prizes - champagne afternoon tea for 4 at the Dorchester.

I was very impressed with the Rapide and thought it looked great in the deep red colour of one of the two cars on show.

As already said space in the back was "tight" and I am 6 foot. However from the drivers seat the car seems to shrink around you.

Dr Betz was there and i managed to speak to him for a couple of minutes, he is amazingly passionate about the design philosophy and the cars potential.
