Bell for me - think they are part of Admiral. Found them via a price comparison site. Get to talk to real people, always helpful.
Only minor strange thing with them is it was cheaper to declare the car as NOT garaged even though I have one and use it. Even the guy from Bell couldn't explain the logic behind that one.
Now got the Rangy with them as well but fully expect come renewal time for the price to have shot up, requiring me to check on a couple of comparison sites, phone Bell and then see if the quote magically has a 'haircut' just because I've queried it and have some up to date comparisons to hand.

I also use A-Plan, and to date I have found them to be good value. They are not always the absolute cheapest but, not wishing to overstate the obvious, it's worth remembering that insurance is not just a cost. You are buying a product and need to make sure that product works properly if it's needed. In my experience I have found A-Plan to be more helpful and less stressful to deal with if a claim is required than when dealing with insurance companies directly.

I queried that with an insurance company once and was told that the claims made by people scraping their cars while garaging them outweighed the increased theft risk. Go figure (whatever that means).

That explains it, they must have seen the width of my garage - mirrors in to get past the opening as its that narrow. OH refuses to get it in / out of the garage in case see scratches it.Only minor strange thing with them is it was cheaper to declare the car as NOT garaged even though I have one and use it.
