sandstone interior - is that a no no?
Discussion
I have sandstone in my Coupe and i like it as it's different from the usual Black, Grey, Silver with Black TBH i don't see it affecting the resale if anything it will make it more desirable, I get a lot of positive comments on it, one from friend who has a DBS and wished he went for it and not the Black interior he has.
Go for it
Any pics of the car?

I have a black car with sandstone and love the combination, the only critisism I have is you get a lot of reflection on the screen on sunny days ( not a big problem at present!)
Yep same here but having the top of the dash (the 2 pannels at the bottom of the screen) changed to black and also the instrument cover changed to black with Beige stiching, a friend with a DB9 had this done and it solved the reflection problem.IM NUTS2 said:

Do you have any pictures? Sounds like a good modification, what was the cost?
Not had it done yet but will be next month, I'll post pics once i have had it recovered and let you know the cost.I know AM works want best part of £1600 but i have a friend who is a car upholster and going to do it for me using the same quality leather as AM.

more like the credit crunch hit me
Hard luck. it won't go on for ever though.Surprised to hear you had a problem with black/black - it seems to be a really popular combination.
This is a little boy with car brochure remark, so take it with a pinch of salt, but it always seems to me that if you were looking for a nice contrast leather finish for an Aston the Sandstorm is a little pale while the Kestrel Tan is a bit strong - and there's nothing in between as far as I can see. I seem to remember pressing my nose against showroom windows in the 60's and seeing many nice DB6's in both Silver Birch and Dubonnet Rosso with gorgeous light tan leather interiors that looked nothing like eith Sandstorm or Kestrel.
A supplementary - can you order Astons with the dash, instrument pod AND steering wheel in matching leather or do you have to have a black wheel? To me the black wheel looks as if you have had an accident and the wheel has been replaced with one of the wrong colour. If the whole dash top is black no doubt you wouldn't get this effect.
