TV or DVD via satnav screen?
Discussion
I've managed to get a camera to work on the screen, and I was quite impressed at the quality of the screen. This obviously depend on the quality of the camera...
As for TV and DVD, I have yet to try this. Two issues come to mind. It would need to be a DVD or TV Tuner with an NTSC output rather than the European PAL. This is down to how the Nav system works and being able to integrate into it. However if I can source digital TV tuners that will give PAL/NTSC O/P then we're laughing. The other issue is sound. In an ideal world the sound should be able to be played via the audio system. Bear in mind that the audio system is fibre optic based, you would need to add in a Gateway device to allow integration of the sources sound. And yes we can do this as well. The bottom line comes down to how much people would want to pay for this.
I am currently working on a cost effective way of upgrading the base model (2 speaker) audio in the V12V. This may be able to carry over to the V8V as well.
Thanks Murph for the nod,
Kind Regards,
