..as well as my folding mirrors not folding on lockup, I've also got an issue with the windows not moving down that little bit when you pull the door handle, or shifting back up when you close the door. Not realising, when I pushed the door open it 'popped' out and cracked the top of the side window, only just a little bit, but it's there, and it scratched the top of the door frame. It also means i can't close or open the door unless I have the window down slightly, so it can leak until I get it to a dealer. Same applies to the passenger side.

Has anyone experienced this.. or know of a fix or reset?
Do you think the crack and scratch will be covered by the warranty? It should be really as the damage was as a result of the faulty window. I imagine a new side window is a bit pricey.

Hi Al, just to confirm is the problem with both windows, have you had a flat or low battery, and when driving is there a door open warning,

Firstly try resetting the window memories, this is done by sitting in the car doors shut and the ignition on, press the down button when the glass reaches the bottom hold for a further 5 seconds a slight audible click may be heard, then press up again holding for a further 5 seconds once the glass reaches the top, repeat for the second window,

If this does not work a battery reset may be required I can not remember if your car is a vantage or DB9 solet me know and i will ost the relevent instructions,

you could possibly have an issue with one of the door modules, which could mean a reflash or possible replacement,

Thanks a lot Steve, that's fixed it.
Not sure what to do about the cracked glass, I'll probably have to wear that, or live with it, it's chipped about a mm off a half cm section at the top front section of glass, annoying.

Thanks Rick too, I was replying as you replied, Saturday night and we're still talking cars, we must love 'em!

It's a V8V, and yes, the car stuttered a bit when I started it this morning after 3 weeks sitting idle. The battery was definitely low. Your reset on the windows has worked, so that's cool.

Is there anything else I should reset or look out for?

Sometimes the seats require resetting and can be very disconcerting when they play up, as the seat tends to only move in one direction and the buttons do not operate in any other, so panic sets in, I have many conversations with people who have started to move the seats forward and then they won't go back, so drive in a very uncomfortable position right up against the steering wheel, if this happens the seat needs to taken again like the windows to it's extent of travel, and then full functionality is resumed, or again a battery reset, I will be doing proper tutorials on both procedures to add to the faq part of my site as soon as I find the time, along with a list of about 20 other tutorials I have been meaning to get around too,
