I'm in the process of placing an order for a V12 Vantage, and would appreciate any advice that other owners may have regarding the choice of seats. I have driven the version with the lightweight sports seats, and taken a look at the "standard" seats. Although the standards are heavier of course, they seem to offer more comfort, and have more degrees of adjustment.

I have obviously not spent any time in either type, and would appreciate members guidance and comments on which I should go for?

Thanks!

Go with the lightweight seats. I've had the regular sports seats for three years and the lightweight seats for two months - providing you fit and it's non-manual then the carbon seats should be the choice

Thanks.
The dealer pushed pretty hard for the lightweights pretty hard. I thought just because they are quite a bit more, but he said they had never sold a V12 Vantage without those seats.
The car is a manual..
Why would that make a difference?

The carbon backed seats are the way to go as they are very well engineered - however - you have to be quite slim around the hips to fit and as they have very limited adjustments make sure you have a comfortable fit. Also - you don't get any side airbags with the lightweight seats. I went with the leather instead of the alcantara seat cushion which I think gives you a bit more flexibility with finding your best position. Enjoy - it is a fabulous car.

I also chose the lightweight seats and firmly believe that it is the right choice for this car. This subject has been covered on this forum recently so it is worth reflecting back on that. Not everyone was in agreement. Whilst there is less flexibility on seat adjustment there is more than is at first obvious and I had no problem finding the perfect position. If you are unsure ask to try both. The car is fantastic, don't spoil it by making the wrong decision on seats - choose that which suits you and your driving style best.

Thanks to all for your advice.
I will search out the other posts here, but it seems that the lightweights are, as you say WV12V, right for the car, and I did see that there is a lot of adjustment options with these seats too.
Thanks again

When it comes to leather and colour choices ask the dealer to book you in for a factory visit. There you can get an appreciation for the colours in mind actually on the bodyshell, see how the light falls and see the leather inside a vehicle rather than under showroom lighting and in miniature.

Hope this helps.

Thanks nite_narc..I am intending to visit Gaydon, but whether I will be able to get there before I place the build order, I'm not sure. A pity, as the colour of the Vantage is the item I am having the greatest challenge with, and I agree seeing all the options in the flesh (so to speak) would be a great help!
