Any idea how to re-set them?
They've stopped powerfolding on lockup

Do they still fold if you press the right and left mirror adjust buttons together?
If so it may be that you have just lost the setting to fold on locking. On my 2010 MY car this is one of the settings available under "car settings" and "locks" on the computer. Not sure if it is the same on earlier cars. Best check your manual first.
It would be nice if there was a .pdf version of the manual to refer to, does anyone now of one?

I didn't know you could do that (rt & left buttons), thanks, I'll have a go. The car was sitting idle for a couple of weeks so maybe the cold has siezed something. I checked the menu but there's no powerfold option on lockup (July'07 car)

You can get a pdf version from the AM website, but it'll cost you! ..was about £40 when I tried (and failed, although I was still charged). They sent me a cd instead.

On the 2010MY under car settings, menu item 4 is mirror settings:
- Auto folding on locking
- Auto dipping on reverse
~ both mirrors
~ passenger side only

This happened on mine after service. I think it has to be set up by the dealer, i.e. not on the menu that us mere mortals can access. It's a simple while you wait fix and they should not charge you to reset it IIRC

Interesting.

I wonder why the older cars can't be flashed to allow these optional settings to be set at will...

I had the power fold option on "ignition off" for a while until it packed uprolleyesI just use the "both buttons at the same time" approach now. For the times I want to do it I find it just as easy.

I was on the Aston site and paid to view the manual for a day. Somehow like a prat I managed to save the file (38 megs) to my desk top? which I then printed out........accidentally of courseeek If you send me an e-mail address...........

If you have had that option programmed in , and the car goes to the dealer.
As soon as they put there computer on your car it will knock that option out.

trip to the dealer yes , but takes seconds to do.

If you find that they are already turned on from the centre consule then they will need to be reset from the Diagnostic system, we can do this while you wait as a freebi, we are located in Essex.
