Nice car.
Are they Pilot Sport tyres? How are you finding them? Did you have Bridgestones or Pirellis on originally?
thanks guysAre they Pilot Sport tyres? How are you finding them? Did you have Bridgestones or Pirellis on originally?
yeah they are Pilot Sport 2s - in short they are awesome. Compared to the worn out Bridgestone RE050As especially!
These are quiet, reasonable cushy over sharp highway expansion joints, great linear steering feel and looks meaty!

Noticed in your original post (sorry).yeah they are Pilot Sport 2s - in short they are awesome. Compared to the worn out Bridgestone RE050As especially!

How's the grip versus the Bridgestones? Especially in the wet.
Are they the same size as the Bridgestones?

The Aston is sooooo much better looking from the front without the awful number plate we have to display in the UK
Actually, what looks better to me is the sunshine and green grass.FYI, most of the states here in the US require front plates too, they are just taller and not as wide as the ones you have in the UK.
that thing up front is a k40 laser jammer/radar detector. It came with the car (used) and honestly it's just an annoying device that beeps, blinks and talks...
i think im actually going to give in and get the front plate. In fact it actually is taller and narrower than the UK plates.
Regarding the PS2s: Grip is AWESOME in the wet but again i'm comparing them to 3 year old bald bridgestones
The rears are the same size as OEM but the fronts are 245/40/19.
The car was actually very quiet and secure-feeling during the week-long tropical storm we had last week.
and yes the green grass and sunshine are quite awesome.
cheers,
