Rapide - first impressions

Went to Edinburgh yesterday for a good sniff around the Rapide. It's superb, looks gorgeous. Not so sure about the HUGE centre console in the back, though, as it takes up a lot of space. Lot's of really nice touches to it including the double-glazed windows and the excellent fold-down rear seat backs. Very classy!

I agree regarding the Rapide. Went and saw it at the launch at HWM last week. Very nice car indeed. Now I only need the wife to trade in her RR (and the dog).

It's what people want in a 'saloon' though, isn't it? I imagine a fair proportion of Rapide owners will have a weekend Aston...

Calling it a saloon is a bit rash!! The Rapide is more of a 4 seater sports car than a mere 'fast' saloon. With performance akin to a DB9 but with an extra 2 seats and doors it is hard to see where this vehicle goes wrong.
