Mines a 05/07. I took delivery two weeks ago. The change from 1 to 2 when cold is diabolical. Not too bad when warmed up.
The car is going in to the AM dealership next Monday for whatever work needs to be done to try to rectify.
Must say my Porsche GT3 was notchy between 1 and 2 but never as bad as the Vantage.

they must vary a bit per car then - I have a Jan 06 car, that had the mods mid 07, and its been fine since ...im sure its just got to be a case of linkage adjusted and the right oil ...im sure one of the tech guys on here would know

As this has become a common question and issue I have put together a bit of an article here is the link,

Great FAQ there Rick and interesting reading. My MY08 V8V Roadster had just this issue and one new gearbox later (quite some time ago) it still has the issue so I think I'll be taking it back in at some point. I had become used to it but guess I really should make a point of it. Thanks.

Had the work done on my 06 car a few weeks ago (under warranty - bought the car from a dealer in Oct.) and the difference is night and day. Smooth change, no wrestling with the gear stick or crunch as it finally engages anymore.
