Model year and spec confusion.
Discussion
Hopefully you chaps can help.
I'm looking for the next Vantage and am very puzzled by the specs of some cars.
I've seen 2008 cars with the new dash and 4.7 litre engines, and 2009 - 09 cars with the earlier dash and 4.7 engines; and also 2009 cars with the 4.3 litre engines.
I'm seeing 2006 - 56 cars with the later seats and 2007 - 07 cars with the original spec seats.
Is this due to cars sitting unregistered for months before being sold?? Or did Aston fit upgrades to some cars before others?

and a few N400 models around for a few months after
It turns out N400s are rarer than they were meant to be! They (apparently) didn't make all 240 of each (coupe/roadster), or so a rather senior birdie at AM tells me .... probably a result of releasing the 4.7 so soon after. As far as I'm aware there aren't any 4.7 cars with the old interior - or 4.3 cars with the new interior... Lots of adverts get the details wrong of course, but as the model year change that introduced the new engine also included the new interior, such configurations aren't possible. Many cars have hung around for a while before being registered which is why you see 58/09 plate 4.3 cars etc...
