Hi Mark.

So you want to take this one on? Thank God. The last was a bit stressful. I had Wales in the back of my mind for this year, around the Brecon's. Perhaps not at the moment considering the inclement weather. Happy to consult if you think its a goer. I know a great hotel for a weekend. Or maybe a looky round a sub if you could fix it ????

PM me if easier.

Hi Di, Mark,

I was in the Brecon Beacons at the weekend. Drove from Cardiff to Brecon and then down to Abergavenny:

Great roads, great scenery, great car! driving

Ok, my 1st thoughts for the Spring maybe to stay at The Nant Ddu Lodge on the A470. My OH has stayed there twice prior to going to Cardiff for rugby. Its reasonably priced, has a Spa, good parking, a good bar and decent restaurant. From here there are loads of good roads but I really need someone with local knowledge to help plan a route.

If there is interest, we will try and arrange a personal tour for us at "Big Pit" in Blaenavon. My OH's grandfather was a miner there from the age of 14 and they now do below ground tours.

If this sort of thing is not to peoples taste then alternative suggestions welcome.

This will be a weekend jolly so I think we should limit to twelve / fifteen cars. And I think it only fair to ask for a deposit up front if I need to reserve several hotel rooms.

Sorry to sound officious but I hate letting people down.

Anyone interested please comment here.

Is this ok Soul Reaver or did you have something else in mind. ????

Di xx

I'd be up for this too, particularly as I live not too far away. Timing would dictate whether I'd be able to make it as I work abroad, so provided it was on a weekend that I was home, then definitely interested.

Depending on dates I'd be interested, after attending the Porsche Parade Europe in 2002 which was held at the Celtic Manor and having some interesting drives in the hills I've wanted to take the Aston down there for some time now.
