DB9 Transmission cooler leak? Rick-dms please advise
Discussion
Hi again and thanks for reading my post. My db9 has about 61000 miles on it and I just finsihed replacing the cracked transmission hoses under the car, they were not blown but looked pretty close they were buldging and cracked. The only ones I did not change were the short sections that attach to the cooler in the front due to their 180 degree U bend I could not find hose that bent without kinking. It seems the clamps work loose and fluid starts to seep from around the junctions on the cooler. Do these coolers wear out or get blockage as they age?
I do have a new in box vanquish s transmission cooler which looks a little larger but I am thinking of installing It is made by the NAR group.
I put an extra clamp on and this worked for about a year, but I was wondering if there is a more permanent solution.
Thank you in advance for your advice.
P.S spark plug/pcv change went very well, it no longer runs rough or stutters. Found the mass air flows contaminated with alot of oil so I cleaned them too and fitted kn filters into the boxes.
