Well, as we will have christmas very soon and therefore it's the time of the year for wishes..., who might be the best partner to replace Ford for Aston Martin to develop new modells....?

V8 Vantage with the 6.3L V8 AMG engine
V12 DB S with Biturbo V12 AMG engine

V8 Vantage with V8 Lexus engine
V10 DB S with the Lexus supercar V10 engine

...

hmm - i am not sure Rick - i talked to someone high-levelled at AMG here and he strictly denied that AM will get AMG Merc engines.....confused

I wonder, though, if they'll get base Merc engines and do their own heads etc.

Pretty sure the current V8 is a similar engine ("Jag"/"Ford" base unit with AM specific mods).

I'd agree - I expect to see AM using Mercedes blocks as a starting point(and maybe some ancillaries) in place of the Jaguar-derived block currently in the V8. I would never expect to see an off-the-shelf AMG engine used.

If there was a choice, I would rather see the AMG engine than any other. Reliable, strong, well developed and a great sound. Just imagine how it would sound with a tweak from AM?

How about VAG group? the Audi R8 V8&V10 /Lambo V10 would be interesting...? They seem to have some available cash!!

My bet is that Toyota/Lexus will be the new partner of AM. The CEO of Toyota is liking AM and the Cygnet is made in cooperation with Toyota.
