Don't know if it helps (or directly answers your question) but when I purchased a Quicksilver exhaust for my 4.7, I was told that it fitted either the 4.3 or 4.7

No they are exactly the same. If you're going to do an install yourself make sure you get a spare set of the gaskets just in case. It is possible to reuse the originals but they're a bit of a pain and not too dear to buy new ones.

The back boxes don't have gaskets, do they?

Yup, there's 2 gaskets (one for each side). Should be able to buy them from an AM dealer. Sometimes you can re-use them but they're not that expensive, might as well have them on hand.

Yeah they're not gaskets in the old-style flat paper or rubber style, they fit inside the flanges on the exhaust mountings.
