If I was ordering from new I'd be very tempted by Aston Racing Green

how come it's so rare?

I've never seen one for sale in the classifieds or on the road.

anyone out there got one or better still interested in parting with it?

I think the DBS is very colour sensitive, and I'm not sure the lighter greens are the best colour for it - the spoiler/bonnet/sill details aren't exactly "delicate", and something that calms them a bit works better.

Silver cars look good. As does black (when clean!). I think I've seen a couple in Quantum grey recently though (or is it Casino Royale?) which looked great. By far my favourite I've seen, and even tempted me to think about one next briefly (anyone know what the paddle shift is like on these?).

Not a DBS...the lines on the std car are much cleaner IMO, and less colour sensitive as a result.

If only the nose treatment were more V8 like (the lights principally).

My OH's XK in Emerald Fire which is the equivalent of Jag British Racing Green. We were told it was a dodgy colour but we love it.

What Aston color would be the closest to traditional BRG? Also is the DBR9 racing green color any different to traditional AM racing green?...... Personally I have always liked the shades of green that the zagatos have been painted in.

WOW.....funny thing is that the front of the DBS is almost more aggressive than the front of the DBR9 or DBRS9.

That Le Mans colour scheme is exactly what I'm talking about! Throw in a bit more power and revs and suddenly £160k doesn't look so bad!

I think Aston racing green looks best with the dark wheels.

Not sure why this isn't more popular?

The "proper " "original" AM racing colour is called California Sage. Works Service will do you any AM you want in this colour or any other colour you like http://www.astonmartin.com/content/allsites/docume...

I don't think so. California Sage looks nothing like AMRG, but Almond Green sure does. I've seen an AG car and to me it is the same as AMRG, but that might not be right. But certainly CS is not even close to AMRG.

Same here, I love this colour scheme, but dark wheels and black interior are a must.

Have a look at this nive V8 Vantage:

Rear 3/4s on the DBS is beautiful.

Front is a right old mess of lines and holes.

Green just accentuates this.

IMO of course.

I think it's Almond Green..., found this car while looking for my first Aston and this colour scheme was my favourite, but the car was a bit expensive, so ended up with a Grey one.
