RHD headlights for the use on the continent
Discussion
Got told by the Aston dealer when I bought mine that as they are Xenons they don't need adjusting as they don't dip to the left too much. Not sure if its true but drove it in France and Spain with no problem. If you are worried about it probably easier to buy the stick on deflectors, available at halfrauds, on the ferries / At Eurostar terminal etc.

I don't believe deflectors work as there's no deflection pattern on the headlamp lens itself.I'd just leave it - have also driven France/Spain/Portugal. Never had an issue (and the vast majority of the time I rarely find myself out after dark as I'm usually in a bar somewhere!).
christof no problem it requires the front wheels removing, this will give access to the panels fitted in the wheel arch liner, remove these, next remove the cover at the rear of the headlamp itself, firstly on the drivers side as this is easier to see, there is a little silver lever for the uk this is in the down position, it will require pushing up, the operation is the same for the passenger side but the lever is a bit more difficult to see,
If you would like a few pictures and a proper tutorial i can do that for you tomorrow as working on a V8 Vantage light problem,

Hi Rick, your help is really appreciated!!!
If you once come over to Germany somewhere around Cologne, drop me a line and I'll
buy you some beers.
Cheers,
Christof
the DB9 is similar but more care has to be taken as the hid unit has to be removed for access, so disconnecting the battery is essential, not just pressing the battery disconnect switch, I will sort out a tutorial for the 9 shortly, the hid units can be extremely dangerous if handled incorrectly (VERY HIGH VOLTAGE !!!!)
Rick, as ever very informative with a cracking tutorial....
I'm just in the process of long term exporting my V8V to Germany. Do you know if flicking this lever will provide the "kick up" on the opposite side to the usual uk "kick up" or will it just create a flat beam.
The regs I have to adhere to mean that a flat beam is not good enough for me so I'd have to replace the light unit for LHD ones, which I'm not relishing the cost of!
Thanks,
Rich
