Can anybody recommend a decent multi-car insurer? Got my renewal through today for V8V, X5, Subaru and old P1800S - came in at just over £1500. Seems a bit steep to me? Or does that sounds about right?

Doesn't seem outrageous. I pay the same for a similar mix of 5 cars, but do live on outskirts of London.

Seems OK to me. I pay more for my 3 cars (TW9 postcode though).

Admiral Multi Car policy....V8V + 320i Sport about £1,300 a year. The best I've been able to find to date.

Okay, I guess it's quite reasonable in that case. It's a pretty good policy - if I have any problems I call the broker and they sort it out. Grinning - if you email me I'll let you know who the broker is.

+1 for Admiral, my 3 cars are a bit of a mix but the V8V is just shy of £600, inc full no claims etc etc

We have some markets for fleet or multicar policies.

If you want to e-mail me some info I can get someone to have a look into it for you.

Chubb Masterpiece is (one of) the best.

Chubb Masterpiece is (one of) the most expensive. I grit my teeth every year when the renewal comes through and have a sleepless night, but can sleep soundly for the other 364 nights in the year.

I also use Admiral multicar policy (via elephant). I pay about £1200 for a MY09 V8V and a 3yr old 325i Coupe. They also had to pay out about £5k last year for a claim i made on the BMW. They were great then so can recommend.

I called Admiral for a quote. They tell me my 1964 Volvo P1800 cannot be insured as the cars were only manufactured from 1960 to 1963.... Strange that they were in production from 1961-73.... I won't be using Admiral!
