Does anyone know any AM dealerships in Greater London area that has their own in-house body shop. My local AM dealership uses a 3rd party coachworks for repairs?

I had the fortune on the evening of Friday 13th to have the near side of the car hit TWICE by a Polish registered HGV driver on the M1, who decided he would like to join the motorway and go straight across to the middle lane and sandwich me. Luckily somehow after being pushed sideways into lane 3 i avoided any further damage.

Looks like a new wing mirror, door skin and just some paintwork over arches and rear, mechanics and steering thankfully all unaffected.

Any advice on best repair centre appreciated.

Mine has to go back in for some "paint rectification" I did want AM to sort directly but they reffered me to local dealers 3rd party bodyshop, this may be the case for all AM dealers?.

I believe that AM works service in Milton Keynes can soft out accident damage

Take it to Works Service - they are the only ones that do not use an outside entity (provided the HGV driver pays as it is pricey). On my DB9 I had my front spoiler re-sprayed and they did a good job.

Stratstone Birmingham.

Mine has just been in for some warranty work. Excellent results.. however, it did come back with a new mark in the clear coat on top of the offside front wing, but i've managed to polish it out (almost!!). Could have been done while in transit as they don't seem to have covered transport...

Cant you use works service? As its an insurance job, I et thye would be happy to take the money. And you'll get a good look around. They alays have tots of interestign things to see, and its not open to the public.

think i will speak to my insurance company and see if i can use works service
its annoying because the hgv driver is insured from poland it will take alot longer to settle fault, even though he admitted it to police.

So i have chosen to pay my excess and claim through my insurance and then claim my excess back when 3rd party insurance admits fault.
my local AM dealer has put me in touch with accident exchange, a company that handles this on my behalf, apparently they will pick car up and hire like for like replacement and then claim it back against 3rd party's insurance

anyone used accident exchange?

I've just used them following a Range Rover being backed into my V8V - while the car was stationary and I was sitting in it. Because the fault was immediately admitted AX took on the cost of the repair and the replacement (loan) V8V. They will recover the cost from the third party's insurer later, leaving my NCB etc untouched.

I have my car back now and I hope an expect that I will not hear anything further from them. If so, it was a useful service which significantly reduced the amount of hassle.

Not quite in London, but Chiltern Aston are now an offical service centre for the current Astons, and they have a good body shop. They did an excellent bare metal re-spray on my DB6 in 1993, and it's still looking good!

when mine was keyed, I had it done at M+A Coachworks in Kentish Town. They did a great job.
