Interloper here from the TVR forums. I've got the chance of a Vantage or a DB9 for the weekend and can't make my mind up. As a Griffith owner I think I'd enjoy the Vantage with a manual box more. What do you think ?

I'd agree. I have a V8 Vantage and on two occasions have had a loan DB9 which is a great GT Car, however each time I've got back into my V8 Vantage an even bigger smile is generated.

The boss tried a DB9 and preferred the V8 Vantage.

Try a DB9 with a manual box and sports pack. It's a different car. I like the Vantage too, but I urge you to try one if you can find one (I had to hunt for months).

I think it would be a hard pick to choose which to buy as well. For example you could get a 2008 or even a 09 V8V roadster for around 100K USD maybe a little more. Then could always customize it with the prodrive, or RSC parts. Or you could have a DB9 for around the same for a 2006-2007. Now if you have to pick between a manual sportpack DB9 and a V8V roadster what you do? What if the V8V was a 09 with sport pack? In someways I would want the smaller more sporty vantage but I really like how the DB9 looks and the v12, not to mention I feel like your getting more car for the same amount of money. The v8v fully loaded was probably around 135-140k USD while the DB9 was probably near 200K USD.
