Hi all,

I just got my v8 vantage (06) on the road. It was originally from TX and now it's in MA.

I loaded the east coast DVD, drove around for an hour and it still thinks it's in TX.

When I loooked at the GPS info, I only get 3 satellites, sometimes 0... i wonder if the connection is loose?
It's not receving any lat-lon info from the satellites, which I'm guessing is due to the lack of satellite reception.

any ideas?

Thanks!

Bit weird...

Have you tried resetting the power on the car (disconnect switch is in the boot)?

Think when you do this that you will need to "recalibrate" things like the seats too (move them all the way fwd, all the way back, all the way up, all the way down etc).

looks like it was just bad weather - it cleared up on Saturday and all is well. When it snowed on Sunday it was registering 0-3 satellites again...

Snowing?

And you want to take the Aston out? yikes

Top bloke - always got time for people who use their Astons all year round in all weathers

Personally I take the Range Rover instead, but thats just me smile

You'll be saying you take the bus when it rains next!

They drive perfectly fine in the snow. And rain. biggrin

Don't disagree, just good to see people do. Drove mine across the Pyrannees in some of the worst weather I've ever been in, thick fog (low cloud) and driving rain. Could feel the rear end squirreling in a straight line at ~70MPH. Wasn't driving myself trying to get the other half to slow down!

But if I'm at home and its chucking down or snowing then, I take the old battered (worth nothing these days) Range Rover as it saves me having to wash the Aston again
(best not admit to going to work on a train whistle)

But still top marks to the OP for driving his in the snow - its easier in the USA - you are only allowed to do 65MPH smile

It might need the GPS antenna repositioning. It's in the tailgate and the signal can get blocked by a support in there. Aston made a new bracket that moved it further out. It needs at least 4 satalites to work correctly.

Perfectly in snow?? What sort of snow? Earlier this year when we had that cold snap I had to abandon my P+J since I was getting the rear end sideways just trying to pull away!!!!
