1. oil leak.
2. belt noise on start up.

all known faults

1, oil leak usually front timing cover covered under warranty
2,3, fead belt there is a revised mod for this, recently out, so if previous repairs have been done and the fault is still current this later edition to the problem should revise it,
4, not sure on this one, pretty sure you mean the car biggrin, any more details,
5, another common fault and again there is a fix, which includes a modified bell crank lever, a bit of a mod to the gear lever and a revised oil for the transaxle, this one is by request only,

Talk to your dealer the first one can be a lengthy repair, or just may need re tightening, that's what i normally would try first and in most cases successfully, but dealers tend to replace the seals,

4) Oil pressure relief valve was changed on mine. Sorted it. Covered under normal warranty, don't know about extended.

Am tempted to not bother with warranty when mine runs out...

First and second always difficult or just when cold? Mine is very stiff when cold, but fluid when warm.

My 4th year Aston official warranty has just covered perished coolant pipes, gearbox oil leak and a heating element in the nearside mirror plus a BROKEN coil spring in the front nearside.

The car is (to me) a much better handling device but most techies state you wouldnt ordanarily notice a broken spring

To save me getting off my arse and looking in the books, is the std warranty 3yrs/unlimited miles?

Also, has anyone extended on the "premium" warranty package mentioned on the AM site? (Adds unlimited miles and unlimited claim limit to the std warranty package apparently).

Depends when you took the warranty out also. If it's an Aston extended policy there are a couple of versions depending when the policy was taken out, ie, in original warranty or out of it. You need to speak to an FSA trained warranty person as there is a legal side to this.
Modifications are not covered though so no 1-2nd gear change mod I'm afraid.
