as most of the panels are aluminium, it is a mixture of oxidisation and water trapped under the paint, In most case this is because of nicks, stone chips in the paint, Most people use pressure washers forcing water under the paint, if these areas are not treated either sealed in the first instance or once they start to oxidise then it can be an issue that is difficult to permanently stop from recurring after repainting etc, the common areas are around door handles where they could be nicked by rings on fingers, the bottom of doors from stone chips, and the edges of doors from catching them when opening in enclosed areas such as garages, other areas such as the the edges of the tailgate and rear edge of the bonnet is more likely to be down to a manufacturing defect, common sense prevails here,
The best way to check if you find a bubble or corrosion of the paint work is to have a look with a magnifying glass, if the paintwork has a nick in it then this is usually caused my and external element and so not covered, if you can't then it should be covered by the 10 year corrosion warranty, in either case if you have any doubt speak to your dealer they will inspect the area and advise either way,
