Hi can someone please help identify what model Aston Martin the below calipers come off. The seller claimed they are off a DBS but I have a feeling they may be off a Vanquish S?

Calipers mounted to a 330mm vented and grooved disc.

they do not look like vanquish s calipers as they do not look like six pots, and they are not off a new style DBS, i would suspect the old style DBS

Not from an old style DBS (ie the late 60s version) and not from the 70s-80s v8's either.

To be honest, I dont think they are Aston calipers at all. The writing on them is certainly not original, and has been added. They could be from a Virage or DB7, but neither of these cars had an "S" variant, so its unlikely.

the calipers are 4 pot brembo's and comparing the pads to ones listed online look exactly like DB9 brake pads and have the same dimensions.

The discs have the following written on the sides -

35 08D AA MIN TH 26MM BREMBO AM 803 8E

and stamped near the center of the disc -

0592

Also, as far as DBS goes the disc appears the wrong size and material (I thought they were ceramic as standard) ... rather strange showing them on a steel, undersized disc which claims to be from the same car.

Front: Ventilated carbon ceramic discs, 398mm diameter with six-piston calipers
Rear: Ventilated carbon ceramic discs, 360mm diameter with four-piston calipers

Found this pic on the web of the DBS front brakes:

I was pretty sure the seller was wrong when he stated they were off a DBS as I read they were carbon ceramic discs thats what made me think it may be a vanquish s due the "S" on the calipers.

So what aston uses a 330mm disc with a 4 pot brembo caliper - it may possibly be off the rear rather than the front.

Im fitting the brake setup to another car due to needing a better brake solution as im fitting an eaton M45 supercharger (not up to Aston Martin standards but I like it smile )

My caliper looks exactly like the one in the pic steve_amv8 has posted. Im wondering if the calipers are off the rear end of a DBS thus 4 pot brembos and the discs are possibly off an other model?

The seller was also selling DB9 calipers, if those calipers were off a rear end of a DB9 that would explain my 330mm grooved and vented discs!

Puzzle solved?

the DB9 and V8 vantage have 330mm rear discs and the caliper looks like a standard DB9 rear caliper, just with the added lettering

quick update.

Checked the rear of the pads and got the following info. Each pad has a slightly different code in the caliper pair.

Brembo 07.8560.63
Brembo 07.8560.64

A5/08

Can anyone give me a final confirmation of the model they are off?

More information to assist.

here

Can you get the code number off the caliper. tbh get that and phone a Brembo supplier or Brembo themselves and they'll be able to tell you. AP's distributors were very helpful when I quizzed them for part numbers recently.

They are rears as the writing faces outwards..front ones the writing is facing inwards if you know what i mean.

Ive got the 4 pot db9 on mine and the writing is one way, my mate has the rears and the writing is the same as that picture you have.
